Abstract
The place of fixed bridgework in the treatment of the cleft-palate patient is reviewed. It is emphasized that treatment planning for bridgework, in consultation with the orthodontist, must take place at an early stage, preferably before orthodontic treatment in the permanent dentition has been commenced.
