Two options for saving energy in drying kilns by improving aerodynamic flow were compared theoretically and practically. One option was to increase sticker thickness and the other to add aerodynamic profiles to board edges. Although possible benefits were demonstrated, loss of kiln capacity would result in no commercial benefits.
