Abstract
The paper presents a brief overview of the Graham and Walles creep modelling concept and of its application to the wrought nickel alloy Nimonic 90. Creep rupture data of up to 50 000 h duration together with a reduced set of steady state creep data are used to demonstrate how these data can be used to construct a creep deformation map within which specific sets of model parameters operate. It is then shown how the map can be matched directly to the underlying physical processes.
