Abstract
A high yield of Ni–W–P nanoparticles with uniform size was prepared by electroless deposition within the nanopores of anodic aluminium oxide (AAO) template. The resulting Ni–W–P nanoparticles were amorphous and the Ni3P phase was appeared in the sample annealed at 623 K. The crystallisation temperature of the nanoparticles is 579 K, which is 100 K lower than that of the Ni–W–P film. The nanoparticles possess a low coercivity at room temperature as the film, showing soft magnetic characteristics.
