Ni–W alloys are considered to be the most favourite metallic materials for textured substrates. Ni–3W, Ni–5W and Ni–7W (at.-%) alloys were fabricated by the powder metallurgy process. Deformation and recrystallisation textures of Ni–W alloys were studied systematically. It was found that heavy cold rolling and recrystallisation at high temperature were beneficial to the forming of cube texture in Ni–3W and Ni–5W substrates.
