Abstract
In addition to its usual attractions, this year's Annual Dinner and prestige lecture of the Steel Division of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining was notable for the launch of the Iron and Steel Society as the Division's new identity (see p. 433). A very successful masterclass on Challenges in Steel Innovation was held during the day of the lecture.
