Abstract
The 2006 conference of the Australasian Corrosion Association (ACA), held in Tasmania on 19-22 November 2006, conference was opened in its traditional manner with the ‘starting of the corrosion clock’ by the ACA President, Dean Wall, or in reality the connecting of a galvanic cell to generate an electron flow to power the venerable timepiece.
