Abstract
Magnaglo (wet fluorescent magnetic particle) billet testing is described. Its advantages are its high degree of mechanization and ruggedness, its acceptance of unprepared products of various sizes, its 100% end-to-end billet coverage, and its utilization of a fair degree of human judgment beyond the capacity of automatic systems using electronic brains.
