In addition to being a licensed clinical psychologist, she is a senior fellow of the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America, founding fellow of the American College of Advanced Practice Psychologists, diplomate-fellow of the International College of Prescribing Psychologists and Prescribing Psychologists Register. The latter is a moral obligation because unhealed psychological damage fetters or imprisons what is most essential for human living—the powers to know what is true and to choose and do what is good. Such damage cannot ordinarily be healed without human effort, collaborating with God's grace. Whether one strives for psychological healing through therapy or through other means is a particular judgment governed by the virtue of prudence, which applies general principles to specific situations.
