Abstract
The Director of the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry and Applied Electrochemistry of the National Technical University of A thens describes the nature and suggested solutionsof the corrosion problems arising in, Greece, which are of particular severity owing to the maritime climate and the degree of pollution of the sea and of the atmosphere. Particular attention is given to problems of restoration and preservation of monuments of the A cropolis, to which the NTU has made a major contribution, and which is the concern of International Committees.
