Abstract
A graphical method is described for calculating the instantaneous corrosion rate and anodic and cathodic. Tafel slopes from the cathodic polarisation curve. Unlike other methods, which use a portion only of the polarisation curve, the method suggested uses the cathodic polarisation as a whole. Examples have been given to show that this method can be used to obtain the corrosion parameters readily, and with reasonable accuracy.
