This manuscript discusses some of the unique problems of accommodating the needs of mildly handicapped students in rural settings and the importance of collegial support in overcoming these problems. A procedure entitled Peer Collaboration is presented as an example of facilitating collegial support and mutually problem solving; research regarding its effectiveness is summarized.
