Abstract
UV/ambient or UV/thermal dual-curable materials have received great attention due to their increasing applications in protective metal, plastic, glass and optical fiber coatings, and electronic packing materials. In this study, a UV/ambient dual-curable polysiloxane, epoxy/methacryloxy side-groups polysiloxane was synthesized and characterized by FTIR and 1H NMR. The synthesized polysiloxane was mixed with an epoxy methacrylate resin and an amine-curing agent, and then cured to obtain complete insoluble films directly under irradiation at room temperature. The obtained composite cured films with high gloss show a high visible light transmittance, close to 110% and 80%. They also possess excellent thermal, flexibility, hardness, and surface properties.
