Abstract
This paper discusses the use of solar power in cellular base stations. As a result, a thorough analysis of solar power generation and cellular base station power demand has been provided. Additionally, a feasibility study was conducted to incorporate solar power into cellular networks. Finally, an algorithm is proposed for managing and conserving energy in cellular network base stations that use solar energy. Furthermore, a simulation and experiments have been carried out. The results explain how much energy is used and unused. According to the findings, a maximum of 36% of energy is underutilized. Furthermore, the algorithm provides high-quality service based on the total number of hits received. According to the hit-and-miss ratio, the proposed work can successfully meet the demand for the base station.
