Abstract
The rapid advance in technology including AI and Gen AI, preponderance of millennials and Gen Z employees with their divergent expectations, values and beliefs, multi-generational workforce, complexity of modern workplaces, statutory regulations and so on are fast leading to a scenario where traditional talent management strategies and practices are losing relevance.
This article examines the developments that are taking place in India and elsewhere in the space of talent management and the initiatives taken by leading organisations to cope with the new challenges. The article also shares some thoughts on what needs to be done beyond the horizon, because the work itself is undergoing dramatic change, and this, above all, will dramatically change the future of talent management.
