Abstract
Purpose
This article explores the relationship between digital leadership competencies and employee job performance (EJP) using the artificial intelligence of Palli Biddyut Samity (PBS) of Bangladesh’s Rural Electrification Board. The factors considered are digital vision (DV), digital innovation (DI), digital communication skill (DCS), EJP, knowledge-sharing behavior (KSB), and digital transformation (DT). The impacts of these factors are studied on the performance of employees serving in PBS of the Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board.
Research Methodology
The author purposively selected 210 employees who are serving in Bangladesh’s Rural Electrification Board at the field level. All the responses were found fit for analysis. The author utilizes the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique with artificial intelligence to test hypothesized relationships.
Findings
The author found that three factors, DV, DI, and DCS, have a significant impact on the DT, and DT, in turn, has a positive impact on EJP.
Originality/Value
To the best of the author’s knowledge, this is the first study ever conducted to identify the factors impacting EJP using artificial intelligence and to establish a relationship between the digital leadership competencies and EJP of PBS in the context of Bangladesh. This type of empirical study can be helpful to service providers in developing strategies for the betterment of PBS of Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board.
