Abstract
This conceptual paper advocates for adopting a Models-based Practice approach to entrepreneurship education. Models-based Practice represents a potential mechanism for framing the diverse pedagogical models within the entrepreneurship curriculum. Our goal is to address persistent challenges associated with entrepreneurship education outcomes and modes of delivery, suggesting a new framework for organizing its pedagogy. We contend that entrepreneurship education is a vast and complex field that can legitimately aspire toward multiple educational goals and satisfy an array of learning aspirations from a broad population of students. By introducing an Integrated Models-based Practice Decision-Making Model, we provide a novel perspective that organizes diverse pedagogies and fosters and values constructive dialogue among different typificatory schemes. We emphasize that no single educational method is superior by itself; each approach should be aligned with learning objectives, and various techniques can complement each other within a program leading to context-specific outcomes.
