In the above article, the description used to cite reference 5—a study by Khafif et al—inadvertently implies that their technique uses robotic surgical instruments, when their technique actually uses traditional endoscopic instruments. The authors would like to clarify that the sentence citing the reference should have read:
While we conducted our study with simple traditional and endoscopic instruments, as was also reported by a contemporaneous study by Khafif et al., transoral robotic surgical instruments can also be used.5
