Abstract
Strategic human resource management (SHRM) has emerged as a vital strategy for organisations to optimise human capital and gain a competitive edge. This systematic review, following the Scientific Procedures and Rationales for Systematic Literature Reviews protocol and utilising the Antecedents–Decisions–Outcomes (ADO) framework, critically examines the ADO within the SHRM construct. Through comprehensive analysis, this study identifies notable inadequacies in the existing body of scholarly literature. By synthesising key findings, it offers valuable recommendations for future research endeavours. The insights gleaned from this study hold significant implications for scholars and practitioners worldwide, providing a roadmap for advancing SHRM research and practice on a global scale.
