Abstract
Zbigniew Brzezinski argues that, depending on the role of the United States plays; the world could either fall into a spiral of turmoil or build a stable global community of coexistence. He poses a choice for the United States must make: domination or coexistence. Although a controversy exists over what choice the U.S. would make, a predominant view is that the Bush administration would opt for a domination to reshape the world order to its advantage in a way that maximizes its national interests. As such, examining the strategic objectives and moves of the United States in Central Asia, a focus of conflicting interests among the great powers as is the case with issues surrounding the Korean peninsula, is essential in comprehending the future choices of the Bush administration and in foreseeing the U.S-led international political structure.
