Abstract
We implemented a large series (N = 8) single-case research design to assess the effectiveness of a four-session peer support group intervention with students in a doctoral counselor education program completing statistics coursework. Analysis of wait-list group participants’ scores on the Attitude Toward Statistics scale yielded treatment effects indicating that a support group may be effective for promoting student attitudes; however, this intervention was not associated with ubiquitous efficacy between all participants associated with the support group. Considerations for implementing groups that promote positive attitudes are provided.
