Abstract

Every year the UEG National Societies Committee and the Scientific Committee jointly select up to 10 emerging clinical scientists.
Those young researchers are awarded Rising Star status based on a track record of international quality research and developing scientific independence. This initiative provides a durable platform for young researchers so that they can give state-of-the-art lectures, chair scientific sessions at UEG Week and develop future roles in UEG.
An annual call is sent to all UEG Member Societies for nomination of young researchers (40 years or under) with a developing track record of independent, international-quality research.
We congratulate the following Rising Stars 2013 who will receive their prize at UEG Week 2013 in Berlin
What are the benefits of a Rising Star?
Selected Rising Stars will be invited to:
Give a talk in the core programme of the UEG Week (including a full Faculty package: free registration to the congress, hotel accommodation, reimbursement of travel expenses). Take on other faculty tasks at UEG Week (abstract reviewing; chairing of oral and poster presentations etc). Have the opportunity to participate in the Exchange Programme with AGA at UEG Week and DDWs. Continuously cooperate with UEG on other initiatives.
Nomination for Rising Stars for 2014 opens in June 2013. For nomination and further information contact:
