Viene presentato un caso di nevralgia del glossofaringeo sostenuta da dolicoectasia vertebrobasilare in conflitto con il complesso vago-glossofaringeo, riscontrata ad un esame RM encefalo. Dopo aver affrontato l'eziopatogenesi vengono discussi gli aspetti clinici e neuroradiologici utili per un corretto inquadramento diagnostico, in aggiunta ad elementi di diagnostica differenziale. Segue infine una breve rassegna delle opzioni terapeutiche attualmente disponibili.
