Le ricostruzioni tridimensionali hanno assunto un ruolo importante nell'iter diagnostico della complessa patologia cranio-maxillo-facciale.
Utilità e limiti delle diverse modalità tecniche sono oggetto di numerosi contributi scientifici.
Le attuali apparecchiature per tomografia computerizzata consentono in maniera agevole e relativamente veloce di ottenere ricostruzioni tridimensionali di superficie.
In questo lavoro ci siamo proposti, rileggendo la nostra esperienza, di determinare la reale utilità di questa metodica nella patologia maxillo-facciale.
