Osteoma ed esostosi rappresentano cause frequenti di stenosi acquisita del CUE. È possibile fare una diagnosi differenziale presuntiva in base alle caratteristiche TC delle due lesioni, anche se è soltanto l'esame istologico che ne permette una diagnosi sicura. Gli autori espongono le caratteristiche clinico-radiologiche di osteomi ed esostosi del CUE, le quali permettono di stabilire, in accordo con la letteratura, che trattasi di due entità patologiche distinte e separate.
