Gli autori presentano il caso di una giovane donna sottoposta ad indagine TC per l'insorgenza di una gravissima sindrome eclamptica nell'immediato post-partum, avvenuto per taglio cesareo alla 32a settimana di gestazione. L'esame TC dimostrava, accanto a reperti di edema cerebrale con microemorragie, una massiva sofferenza ischemica capsulare e del tronco con interessamento bilaterale e simmetrico dei nuclei della base. In seguito a decesso veniva effettuato riscontro autoptico. Il quadro TC è discusso sulla base dei reperti clinici ed istopatologici e confrontato con i dati in letteratura.
