Gli Autori descrivono it caso di un paziente di 7 mesi di età in cui l'esame angiografico aveva evidenziato la presenza di un coiling dell'arteria carotide interna di sinistra, e di un kinking dell'arteria carotide interna di destra. La precoce età di comparsa di tali alterazioni riconosce una patogenesi congenita, che determine un anomalo sviluppo del distretto arterioso derivato dai primitivi archi aortici, ed in particolare dal terzo arco.
