La Risonanza Magnetica rappresenta la metodica di scelta in patologia neoplastica vertebro-midollare. L'uso di mezzo di contrasto paramagnetico, gadolinio-DTPA, pur non essendo indispensabile, in molti casi è di ausilio diagnostico in quanto permette una migliore definizione morfo- volumetrica della lesione. Ciòe è particolarmente evidente nella patologia intramidollare ed intradurale.
