Abstract
This reaction to the 2012 NIC quadrennial report on global trends contains criticism and suggestions. Criticized is the producers’ failure to live up to their claims and expectations for it. The suggestions offered are of ways to improve the 2016 edition so that it will reflect more creative thinking.
