A Novel C21 Cyclopentenone Derivative from Cipadessa Cinerascens

Abstract

A new C ₂₁ cyclopentenone derivative, Cipacyclonone (1), was isolated from the leaves of Cipadessa cinerascens. Its structure was elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic analysis, including extensive 1D- and 2D-NMR techniques. Compound 1 showed strong cytotoxicity activity against HL-60 and A-549 cell lines, with IC₅₀ values of 1.2 and 3.0 μM, respectively.
