Over an 18-month period from March 2000 to September 2001, there were two outbreaks of hepatitis A among intravenous drug users (IDU) and hostel dwellers in an urban district population of approximately one million (former Avon Health Authority area).
This paper details the effectiveness of evidence-based interventions in hepatitis A outbreak management among this specific client group.
