We evaluated thumb pronation angles in patients with trapeziometacarpal joint osteoarthritis. Patients with a significantly decreased pronation angle showed a moderate correlation with the Eaton–Littler classification. Weakness of opponens pollicis function is associated with the development of trapeziometacarpal joint osteoarthritis.
