Abstract
This paper considers the concepts of tipping point and risk assessment in the modeling and simulation of air superiority scenarios using both current day and future air assets. In doing so, we reveal three important observations associated with issues: force allocation, enemy countermeasures, and the application of game changing capabilities. These principles have important implications for military planners as they provide insight into how the variation of certain parameters can affect outcomes.
