Abstract
The major consideration of designing dairy-life products for eating, drinking, living, moving and working behaviour is “designing for human use”. Therefore, whether to undertake the anthropometric database application is an important issue related to products' design factors, which is especially true for students who spend most of their time at their desks and desks. The objective of this study focuses on the application of an anthropometric database of Taiwanese people, which was established by National Science Council and National Tsing Hua University, in use of designing high school teaching equipment. First, we identify the merits and demits including form, material, design and manufacturing factors among the six patterns of school desks and chairs used at Mingchi Institute and technology. Second, the questionnaires of analyzing the merits and demits in using factors are proceeded. After students were tested by six patterns of school desks and chairs for one period. They were evaluated by scaled questionnaires and defined the significance in comfort, function and design preference. Finally, the human factors and engineering tools are used to infer the influenced issues in preferential design factor, in order to establish the design issue to develop high school desks and chairs, which bases on the anthropometric database.
