Utility of MR Angiography and Radionuclide Procedures in Evaluation of Intramuscular Hemangioma

Abstract

A girl with a large intramuscular hemangioma of the thigh was examined by use of various imaging techniques. Two relatively new modalities, magnetic resonance angiog raphy and "radionuclide hemangiography," were also performed to discern the vascular communications of the lesion. Their relevance in deciding therapeutic options for intra muscular angiomatosis is discussed.
