Abstract

Disseminated intravascular coagulation occurs in about 2 % of patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm. Herein, the authors describe a patient who developed disseminated intravascular coagulation as a result of a stable abdominal aortic aneurysm. The coagulation disorder resolved completely within a week after aneurysmectomy.'"
