A case of papillary endocardial tumor is reported. It was located in the proximity of the tricuspid valve ring and was diagnosed at surgery. The incidence and its different locations are pointed out. The origin of this type of tumor is discussed, as well as the surgical problems that its location and multiplicity present. Clamping of the aorta and mitral valve occlusion is recommended in order to prevent migration and embolization of tumor fragment.
