Abstract
A double aortic arch discovered for the first time in adulthood is rare. Vascular rings in the human are usually asymptomatic, and since Gross first treated the vascular ring surgically, the condition has been quite amenable to surgical therapy. Asymptomatic vascular rings are even more rare. If a vascular ring is discovered and if it is asymptomatic, treatment need not be instituted. For this reason, the following case, which represents a vascular ring first discovered in at 64 in a man, is presented.
