Abstract
During the Gulf War, Iraq fired Scud missiles at Israeli cities, aimed at terrorizing and harming the civilian population. This study examined the public health, interpersonal, cultural and individual methods by which a very vulnerable subset of the population - elderly nursing home residents - coped with the extraordinary stress of those attacks.
