Abstract
The basic parameters and physical properties of various solu tion urethane polymers for textile applications are discussed. This article also classifies different urethane polymers and demonstrate the perfor mance characteristics of each. The importance of applications data, perfor mance testing, and the ability of the urethane chemist to work directly with the textile coater are also examined New areas of interest, such as urethane topcoats for vinyl and water-based urethane lattices, are dis cussed.
