The relationship between oral language usage and the degree of speech fluency was explored in a six year old stutterer with a severe language disorder. Receptive and expressive measures were used to evaluate language performance prior to, and following, speech therapy directed at fluency enhancement. Results indicated a consistent trend in the direction of improved oral language accompanying increased speech ffuence.
