Abstract
This began as a reaction to the dominant public health’s culminating inaction, and to two talks given by prestigious public health academics during the first few months of the genocide in Gaza. This began as a critique written in exactly 1,000 words. Each word, an ode to a Palestinian life lost. I imagined the discipline atoning for its hypocritical muzzle by laboriously photocopying the 1,000 words until the death toll stopped climbing.
Dejected, I undertook an R&R on my heart in an attempt for anyone in power to read what was intentionally left on the output tray. It read this, to view the original version of this poem, see the supplemental material section of this article online.
