This note presents the evaluation of Perez slope irradiance and illuminance models for Japan using the data now emerging from the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage International Daylight Measurement Programme. The Perez model tends consistently to underpredict slope irradiance and illuminance, the more so for the southern latitudes of Japan.
