Abstract
At the Daylight Laboratory at Copenhagen School of Architecture an artificial 'sun' has been constructed in the artificial 'sky' with the sun freely moveable over a table on which models are placed, and mounted in such a way that it can be moved manually to all positions and sunpaths from sunrise to sunset for any given time of year and for nearly all locations on the Earth's surface. The design has advantages over those based on a rotating and tilting table and a lamp on a fixed vertical scale.
