Abstract
One of the sessions at the Summer Meeting held at Bristol from May 3 to 6, 1964, was devoted to three special aspects of street lighting: the lighting of motorways and complex junctions, the lighting of tunnels and underpasses, and the lighting of bridges and overpasses. Six principal speakers of international reputation took part; in the order in which they spoke they were as follows: Mr J. M. Waldram from England, Mr Lino Richard from Italy, Mr J. B. de Boer from the Netherlands, Dr-Ing P. Jainski from Western Germany, Mr A. Boereboom from Belgium and Mr L. Gaymard from France. The Chairman of the session was Dr H. H. Ballin. Each of the three subjects was introduced by two of the speakers, and some of the others added comments. This presentation was followed by a general discussion.
