An opaque white grade of rigid polyvinyl chloride sheet has been developed* for use as a diffusely reflecting material and this paper reports the results of photometric, thermal, mechanical and ageing tests made on production sheet. The tests show rigid p.v.c. to have the properties required of a highly efficient reflecting material; the thermal characteristics, however, limit use to fittings in which the temperature of the shapings is not greater than 55 deg. C.
