The new European Standard for utilization factors has recently been published and it provides a common way of calculating and presenting utilization factors within Europe. Unfortunately the standard only provides for the calculation of factors for the working plane. This paper gives a method of calculating the transfer factors necessary to evaluate the utilization factors on all the other room surfaces and a full set of transfer factors is given in tables.
