Abstract
This comment extends the discussion of the need for a new agenda for specialist hospitality HRM research contained in the paper by Lashley and Watson in the first issue of this journal. The need to focus on the links between ‘bundles’ of HRM practices designed to secure high employee commitment, and organisational performance is stressed.
