Abstract
Use-inspired research, which bridges the gap between fundamental scientific inquiry and practical application, is beginning to be recognized as a powerful tool for addressing complex societal challenges. This Fresh Perspectives piece introduces and explores the convergence of use-inspired research with social entrepreneurship, focusing on the significant opportunities this intersection offers for value creation through cross-sector collaborations and the development of robust innovation ecosystems. When combined with the dynamic and impact-driven approach of social entrepreneurship, use-inspired frameworks greatly amplify the potential for the co-creation of novel and impactful solutions.
