Abstract
This paper proposed a design method to enhance the magnetic field intensity of Halbach permanent magnet array. The permanent magnet with oblique magnetization is employed in this design with the optimal magnetization direction, 67.5°, derived via the harmonic model theoretically. Based on this structure, the multi-objective cost function measuring the lifting force and horizontal acceleration ability is constructed. With the boundary element model of MLPM built, the optimal design parameters of the coil and each magnet are determined through the particle swarm optimization algorithm. The simulation test shows that the proposed optimization design method realizes the reduction in manufacturing materials and power consumption under the same payload capacity.
